Dum Dum man arrested for multi-lakh fraud and assault in Murshidabad

Pallab Chakraborty, a resident of Dum Dum, was arrested in Murshidabad for his alleged involvement in a large-scale fraud operation. Chakraborty is accused of operating a company named "Inor Mass," which lured multiple individuals with promises of land investments and various products. Over several months, he is reported to have collected substantial sums of money from unsuspecting victims. The amount of money swindled in total has not been officially confirmed but is believed to be in the lakhs.

When the victims, who had invested their money, demanded refunds, Chakraborty allegedly refused to return any of the funds. The situation escalated when Chakraborty, along with his associates, reportedly attacked the victims at a hotel in Lalbagh, Murshidabad. In response, two of the victims, Sonu Sheikh and Rabiul Sheikh, lodged formal complaints at the Murshidabad police station, detailing the fraudulent activities and the assault.

The Murshidabad police acted swiftly following the complaints and arrested Pallab Chakraborty. The police are continuing their investigation into the case and are working to identify other potential victims who may have been affected by the scam. Authorities are also investigating any additional individuals who may have been involved in the fraudulent operations.
